How To Enter
Four steps from idea to submission

Pick your idea
Select the main points from your research that you would like to explain to a general audience. Your research should reflect a significant project you have spent dedicated time on.

Design one slide
A single static slide. The slide supports your words, it does not replace them. Instead of lengthy text or summary of methodology, think about how graphics/images can support brief text.
03
Record your three minutes
Film yourself presenting in one continuous take using Zoom. Pin your slide in Zoom and ensure your webcam remains visible in the upper-right corner for the entire presentation. Stay under three minutes.
04
Submit through the form
Upload your video and slide through the official submission form before the January 30, 2027 deadline.

The Format
Competition rules
Adapted from the official 3MT® competition guidelines.
- 01A single static slide is permitted. No slide transitions, animations, or any kind of movement on the slide.
- 02No additional electronic media. That means no sound files and no video files.
- 03No additional props. No costumes, no musical instruments, no laboratory equipment.
- 04Videos are limited to three minutes maximum. Anyone who goes over three minutes is disqualified.
- 05Presentations are to be spoken word. No poems, no raps, no songs.
